English Arts and Crafts

The design for this home was based on the English Arts and Crafts style popularized by the 19th-century architect C.F.A. Voysey.  Although the look of the house refers to the 1890s, the contemporary needs of the family ruled the design: an airy family room that opens to the kitchen, eight-foot long windows that line up with French doors that open onto a small patio.  The result is a celebration of fine, traditional craftsmanship, rich woods and a wealth of textures.
