French Country Style Kitchen


In this renovation, one wing of an existing house was stripped to the studs to accommodate a new kitchen, family room, butler's pantry and wine cellar in the French country style throughout.
The classic range backs up to a tiled wall inspired by one at Monet's house in Giverny.
The kitchen cabinets have varied finishes.
The butler's pantry's floor pattern, domed ceiling and art glass window play off the room's oval geometries.

The new deck overlooking the backyard features a central fire table with a mosaic top.

For special guests, the owner pivots out one of the wine cellar's redwood wine racks to reveal a secret chamber for the safekeeping of special vintages.
