The clients asked for a house in which the verdant splendor of the Sonoma Valley would  freely filter throughout the house. Thus the house has custom-designed wood doors that fully  slide into the walls allowing the flow of views.
The fireplace is surrounded by black Soapstone slab, encased by a stained wood mantel with brackets, and build-in bookcases.

The great room unites the kitchen, dining, and living spaces under an articulated framework of intersecting beams.
A professional stainless steel range is flanked by custom-made stained wood cabinets and black soapstone slab countertop. Hand-made ceramic tiles lined the back splash and a custom-made metal hood tops the range.
Emerald green slate tiles framed by honed tumbled empire gold stone tiles. Stained wood island with an exotic wood countertop. Build-in refrigerator with custom wood panels.
A customized antique Japanese cabinet holds a stone vessel and copper faucets. A stained wood wainscot dresses the walls.
The red lacquered front door opens onto a variegated slate foyer that overlooks the courtyard.
The natural materials used in the exterior also let the house sit in a hill without disturbing its milieu.
