This vineyard Arts and Crafts home wraps around the perimeter of a level knoll overlooking Dry Creek Valley.
A prow like master bedroom sleeping porch projects over the entry hall. Century old olive trees frame the house on the site.
In keeping with the Arts & Crafts tradition, the buildings’ shingled exteriors grow from a base of rounded stones and clinker bricks; which give the structures an appearance of growing organically from the site.
A massive stone entry pergola with reclaimed brick and stone walkway announce the entrance to the home.
Fiddleback mahogany paneling and frames gives the entry hall a richness. The stair is lit with clearstory windows which bath the space in natural light.
Oversized entry door with oak tree stained glass panels completes the arts and crafts entrance to the home.

Leaded glass laylights by Theodore Ellison bring warm light into the large kitchen. The island is filled with vertical grain douglas fir cabinetry with mortise and tenon joinery. A cloud-lift truss pot rack designed by our office holds ample pots and pans. A 10' long hammered copper hood serves the professional range and wood burning cooking hearth.
Custom designed by the architect, this mahogany, black walnut, leather and mica lantern was crafted with lap joints, mortise and tenon joints. Two such lanterns hang in the great room of the house.

The kitchen was designed for the owners who are well known chefs and features a large work island with a generous heavy timber pot rack above and a separate cooking hearth for spit roasting.
Hammered copper and iron kitchen hood with brass fasteners hovers over the range and cooking hearth, supported by reclaimed brick supports.
